Our shade grown matcha is never older than 6 months. It is sourced from a certified organic farm in Uji, Kyoto. BRIGHT GREEN COLOR. The shading process helps increase the chlorophyll content in the leaves. This gives the leaves their unmistakable bright green colour and endows them with high concentrations of antioxidants and nutrients.
After harvest the leaves are carefully deveined and ground to powder. This process removes the usual bitterness from the powder, making it one of the most delicious green teas out there.
